Welcome to Mexpat Mama!

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you’ll notice that I’ve made some changes to my website. The site is no longer called “Slobe Family Adventure,” but is now “Mexpat Mama.” Why? Well, our family’s “adventure” in Mexico is no longer just a temporary thing as we originally planned. This is our life now. We are full-time residents of Mexico and have been for four years. During that time, we have experienced so much and have made some amazing connections with other expat families throughout the country. As a mom and an expat myself, my hope for this blog site is for it to be a resource and source of inspiration for other moms (and dads!) from outside Mexico thinking of making the move here, either temporarily or permanently, or who are just curious and want information about great places to travel in Mexico with their kids – hence the new name, Mexpat Mama!

So let me give you a little tour of the site so you know where to find the content you are looking for.

If you are curious about our story and how and why we made the move to Mexico, visit the “Our Story” page.

If you are looking for great places to visit in Mexico with your kids (or without!), visit the “Travel Mexico” section.

If you are interested in learning about and connecting with other expat families in Mexico, visit the “Expat Resources” section.

If you want to read stories about other expat families in Mexico, visit the “Expat Stories” section. Right now, this page is empty, but I plan to fill it with interviews with families from outside Mexico who have made the move to this beautiful country and how and why they made it happen.

If you have ideas for stories or resources you’d like to see included in any of these sections, please let me know!

I also hope you’ll follow me on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook!

Thanks for following this blog and signing up for email updates. If you have friends you think might be interested in subscribing, please send them to MexpatMama.com and have them sign up!

Gracias,
Debbie
